Community Meetings on Civic Center Park Grant Improvements

Have you ever wanted to design a park? Tell city officials what kind of improvements you'd like to see made to Civic Center Park during a pair of community meetings being held this week.

Meetings will be held at Civic Center Park:

• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25
• 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 28

The city is preparing an application for a grant that would fund improvements to Civic Center Park. The meetings are being held to hear what kind of new recreational features the public would like to have at the park.

Ideas include a walking path, a gazebo with barbecues, workout stations, playground equipment, restrooms and a dog park.

Refreshments will be served.
