San Diego celebrates the holiday season in slightly different ways than others in the U.S. who dwell in a typical winter wonderland.
For instance, San Diegans might go to the beach on Christmas, wear shorts and flip-flops to a seasonal party or even have a holiday barbecue. While many may have put away the grill for the year, food writer Maureen Clancy says grilling season is year-round in San Diego.
