Enter plucky young Max. Remember him, Charlie? He's your son. The two come together over Atom, a bot that's down in the dumpsters—literally. Among villains and underworld treachery, unconventional father-son bonding takes place and boxing fans (“But the crowd, they never change”) find a new hero.
Through it all, we are reminded that people struggle, hurt—and triumph—because of the valuable human connections we have with each other. There's a lot of real heart in all that hard steel.
