Investigators Seek 'Person of Interest' in Lemon Grove Stabbing
Blood leads authorities through apartment complex to neighbor's door.
A trail of blood leading to an apartment door has authorities searching for a Lemon Grove man described as a “person of interest” in connection with a stabbing early Friday morning.
Investigators are looking for Albert Prano, 41, of the 3700 block of Hilltop Drive, and an unidentified Hispanic adult male, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Hampton. Authorities said both men may be injured.
Hampton said police summoned to Paradise Valley Hospital just after midnight Friday in response to an assault with a deadly weapon, found Prano’s neighbor, Adel Salim Rammal, 47, had been stabbed three times in the chest and assaulted with a Taser.

According to Hampton, a witness drove Rammal to a hospital following an attack that took place in a driveway of the apartment complex where Rammal and Prano live.
The witness, a friend of Rammal’s, told investigators he had driven the man home, and that two Hispanic men attacked and beat his friend.

Deputies dispatched to the Hilltop Drive scene discovered two or three blood trails that lead from a garage to the street, down a sidewalk, through a neighboring parking lot, and back to the street. Blood also lead to the door of Prano’s apartment, Hampton said.
According to authorities, Rammal’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he is expected to recover.
