With Love, On Mother's Day: Photo Show From Patch Readers 2019

CALIFORNIA – Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12 this year. But the bond between mother and child supersedes a single day. It is every moment of every day, no matter by birth or adoption or blended family, and even continues as unbreakable after death.

Patch readers from throughout California – moms and kids – shared some of their favorite photos of moments with each other, along with heartfelt messages.

• Patch reader Michelle Fitzpatrick of Scripps Ranch shared a photograph taken with her beloved boy. "My wonderful son, Gabe, is my only child and I'm so lucky to be his mom," she wrote. "He has such a kind heart and great sense of humor. I cherish my time with him. It's going way too fast."

• This mother-son photo was sent in by Spencer Seidler of Greenbrae, pictured in June 2018 atop Angel Island with his mother, Linda Reed, of Santa Rosa. "Can you post this so I'm the favorite of three kids come this Mother's Day?" Seidler wrote in an email to Patch. "Moms do have favorites, right?" Hmm...we think it's safer if we stay out of that one. Happy Mother's Day!
