Man Shot At Lemon Grove Liquor Store During Robbery
Police said the victim was slightly wounded but declined medical treatment. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

LEMON GROVE, CA – A man was shot in the parking lot of a Lemon Grove liquor store during a robbery, police said late Wednesday.
A female driver and her male passenger pulled into the parking lot of Keg N Bottle at 1827 Massachusetts Ave. at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, said officials with the San Diego Sheriff's Department. The pair told police that someone immediately entered the rear passenger side of their car holding a handgun.
The suspect demanded cash before exiting the vehicle and firing several rounds, police said. The rounds hit the vehicle and struck the male passenger, causing a minor injury. Police said the victim, however, declined medical treatment.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. His description was not immediately available.
Detectives from the Rancho San Diego station are still investigating the incident.
