Lottie Rose, Michael Jackson's personal hair stylist from 1981 to 1994, will be making a special guest appearance this Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Union Bank, located 3285 Lemon Grove Ave.
Lottie was the first African-American salon owner in Torrance, a celebrity hair stylist, and her efforts directly lead to California incorporating African-American hair care methods in statewide cosmetology curriculum and licensing exams.
She will be a special guest during for the Holiday Social, hosted by Thrive Lemon Grove, and will be available for photo opportunities, autographs, and to speak with guests one-on-one.
Then event is free to the public, will have a free raffle, serve tasty holiday treats, and will include a presentation about the new Safe Routes to School program called “Lemon Grove Kids Walk and Roll to School.”
