• Mark Farver builds plane, flies uncle, 102, over Huron County (ourmidland.com) — A Little River resident, Mark Farver, spent two and a half years building his own plane, then flew it nearly 3,000 miles to Michigan to take his 102-year-old great-uncle on a long-promised flight over Huron County. Along the way he also treated his 88-year-old mother to an aerial tour, turning a DIY aviation project into a multigenerational family milestone.
