Tobacco, Vape Shop Sting Operation Held In Livermore
Police said parents have complained about Livermore businesses illegally selling tobacco and vape products to underage customers.
LIVERMORE, CA — Employees of four Livermore businesses were issued citations last week after they sold tobacco products to underage decoys, police said. The sting operation, which was prompted by citizen complaints, was held Friday.
Police sent underage decoys into eight Livermore smoke and vape shops. Four employees of the businesses sold to the decoys, according to police. The violators were issued citations and are accused of selling or furnishing tobacco to a minor.
Police did not release the names of the businesses targeted during the enforcement operation.
