LIVERMORE, CA — Cal Fire crews stopped forward progress on a vegetation fire in Alameda County in between Tracy and Livermore on Sunday after it grew to about 19 acres.

Air support and fire crews from the Alameda County Fire Department, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, and San Joaquin County South County Fire Authority helped stop the fire's forward spread by about 1:15 p.m. Cal Fire's Santa Clara Unit (SCU) led the response.

But the fire remained uncontained at that time.

In an update at about 1:45 p.m., Cal Fire said the fire--which the fire agency referred to as the Grant Fire--had grown to about 19 acres.
