LIVERMORE, CA — A 52-year-old man was killed Friday in a motorcycle crash, according to the Livermore Police Department.
A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided at approximately 8:47 p.m. Friday at the intersection of First Street and South P Street in Livermore, the LPD said. The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to Eden Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The 56-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene, police said. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The Alameda County Coroner's bureau will release the motorcyclist's identity once his next of kin has been notified.
The Livermore area has seen at least six motorcycle-related fatalities in 2026 and 2025, according to news reports. In July, 26-year-old Aileen Perez, a Livermore resident and software engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, died in a solo crash on Del Valle Road.
