Livermore Brush Fire Burned 2 Acres Near I-580
The cause of that fire is under investigation, but fire officials suspect it may have started at a nearby homeless encampment.
Livermore, CA— Firefighters have extinguished a brush fire reported in the 1700 block of Paseo Laguna Seco in Livermore Wednesday afternoon, fire officials told Patch.
Fire officials said high winds caused the blaze, which was reported at 12:35 p.m., to quickly spread. The fire was under control at about 1:30 p.m, according to Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Deputy Chief Joe Testa.
Testa said the fire burned 2 acres. No one was injured and no structures were nearby. Alameda County Fire crews assisted with the firefighting efforts.
