BREAKING: Search for Drowning Victim Resumes at Lake Del Valle

Emergency crews have been at the lake searching for the man since he disappeared in the water Friday night.

The search for a San Francisco man believed to have drowned Friday night resumed Monday morning at Lake Del Valle in Livermore, an East Bay Regional Parks spokeswomen said.

The 32-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, is presumed to have drowned in the lake on Friday night, according to Carolyn Jones.

“At about 7 p.m. a privately owned boat began taking on water,” Carolyn Jones said. “The occupants jumped out of the boat and swam to the shore. One person did not make it.”

According to Jones, emergency crews searched the water between the marina and Hetch Hetchy group camp area until about 1 a.m. Saturday morning, resumed searching at daybreak and again all day Sunday.

Jones said the man was not wearing a life jacket.
