Candidate Forum: Nine Apply for Four Open Seats on Livermore Board of Education
This forum, which is open to the public, is scheduled for Monday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m.

The Parent Club Information Committee consists of all parent leaders from every school in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD). The purpose of the group is to collaborate with the LVJUSD in moving forward common goals in supporting the educational needs of all students. As the November election approaches, PCIC members want to ensure our voting community has an opportunity to hear from the nine candidates who are listed on the ballot for the upcoming School Board election.
This forum is scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2014 at 6:30PM at the LVJUSD District Offices in the Board Room located at 685 East Jack London Boulevard, Livermore. Candidates will be asked open-ended questions regarding their interests, experiences, and educational perspectives. This forum is open to the public and media.
Three seats for the four-year term and one seat for the two-year term are open on the LVJUSD Board of Education. Nine residents are listed as official candidates who are interested in serving as School Board Trustees. Craig Bueno, Alan Heckman, Belia Martinez, Kate Runyon (incumbent), and Anne White (incumbent) are candidates pursuing the three four-year seats and McKinley “Mac” Day, Joe Iguain, Efraín Meléndez, and Chris Wenzel are candidates pursuing the one two-year seat.
