Hundreds Lined Up For Free CREAM Ice Cream Sandwiches In Livermore

To celebrate their grand opening, customers lined up to enjoy free ice cream.

LIVERMORE, CA — The CREAM (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) ice cream shop in Livermore has reopened under new ownership. The popular gourmet ice cream purveyor offers ice cream, cookies, floats, malts and shakes. To celebrate their grand opening, customers were invited to enjoy free ice cream sandwiches on Aug. 5 between noon and 5 p.m. Hundreds lined up to take advantage of the offer.

The Livermore Ice Cream Shop, which was originally named CREAM (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) when it opened in 2014, abruptly closed after three years in downtown Livermore last May. Find the full CREAM menu by clicking here. CREAM is located at 2375 Railroad Avenue in Livermore.

In nearby Dublin, a new restaurant and gastropub opened this month. Owned by Tri-Valley residents John and Jenny Samples, Inc 82 Brewing’s branding concept was inspired by the year Dublin was incorporated- 1982. The eatery will feature local microbrews and its own label.

Not into pub food? A new pizza restaurant with a unique twist on an old favorite has opened. The Curry Pizza House has moved into the spot previously occupied by Extreme Pizza, which shuttered earlier this year. The new eatery offers Indian/ Italian fusion pizzas, wings and salads on its large menu.

A few miles away, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que will be moving into the building previously occupied by the Elephant Bar. The building has been empty since the Elephant Bar closed in 2016.
In nearby Pleasanton, the Arby’s fast-food restaurant on Owens Drive has closed and Starbucks has plans to move in, city officials said. The Starbucks application was submitted following Arby’s abrupt closure.
