San Francisco Bay Area musicians, educators, and Northern California cancer awareness advocates will be featured at THE CURE Pink and Blue Party with a Purpose evening event to be held 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at Club Oasis, located at 401 California Street (on Treasure Island) in San Francisco.

“It is so important to continue to raise awareness about breast and prostate cancer, and health in general,” said Letitia Hanke, Founder and Executive director of The Lime Foundation, one of the two organizations selected to benefit from THE CURE.

The Lime Foundation (5013c) advocates for the disadvantaged. Its Senior Activities Program is designed to promote healthy eating, exercise through dance, bowling, hiking and many other activities in order to prevent or reverse heart disease, diabetes and obesity. The other organization is the Sisters Network, San Francisco Chapter.

Special honorees include Hayward High School Assistant Principal Monique Walton and breast cancer awareness advocate Gloria Burnell. Featured musicians include award winning San Francisco Bay Area musician Ric Alexander (Jazzy Jamz Productions) and Sulpacio Jones a top-charting singer/songwriter.
