Mutton To See Here: CHP Says Sheep Weren’t On The Lamb In Street Takeover
The sheep were not on the lamb, according to highway patrol.

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA — We may never know why the chicken crossed the road, but California Highway Patrol provided information Tuesday as to why dozens of sheep were photographed crossing a road in rural San Joaquin County.
The local highway patrol office shared several images on social media of the sheep crossing 11th Street en masse outside Tracy, with traffic standing by.
The sheep were not on the lamb, but were in fact being moved from one section of fields to another by their owner, who called highway patrol and requested traffic control during the relocation, which occurred around 10:30 a.m. Monday between Lovely and Banta roads, according to Officer Nicholas Hunter, who confirmed no humans or sheep were injured in the process.
