Driver Injured After Car Plunges Into Ravine Off Mines Road

LIVERMORE, CA — A driver crashed into a ravine Monday night along Mines Road in unincorporated Alameda County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

On Monday at around 9:15 p.m., CHP officers responded to reports on Mines Road south of Livermore. The driver allowed their car to leave the roadway, and crashed down an embankment into a ravine. The driver suffered only minor injuries, CHP said.

CHP photos show a badly damaged car turned on its side. A REACH Air Medical helicopter was called to the scene, according to the CHP post.
