EAST BAY, CA – From the imaginative to the demented, haunted attractions can be found in the East Bay. Be brave and go to at least one, and Happy Halloween!

Pirates Of Emerson In Pleasanton

• Terror awaits, and we're not kidding. Not for the faint-of-heart are six attractions, plus mazes, a sideshow and a "misfortune teller" at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Hours: 7:05 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, and 7:05 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

‘Frightmare Home Haunt’ Benefits Open Heart Kitchen

• Halloween, Oct. 31, is the final night in Livermore, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. It's free to visit the haunted house, but hosts ask guests to bring canned food donations.

Avast! Dead Men Tell No Tales in Livermore

• Ye come seekin' adventure and salty ol' pirates, eh? Sure ye come to the proper place. Avast, come to Winding Stream Drive in Livermore!

Fear Overload Scream Park - 2 Haunted Houses: San Leandro

• This haunt ranks among the most fear-inducing in the state. Too bad "the electricity was shut off," as you must make it through with only a flashlight. Hours: Monday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 31, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and also Nov. 3-4, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Good luck!

'House of Screams' Haunted House: Berkeley

• One night only - Tuesday, Oct. 31 - 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. And this one has a sweet side with a "Thriller" dance show and a jumper for your little goblins.

• Don’t forget to look over your shoulder when you visit because you might just spot an unexpected character watching you. Brought to you by a family that loves the macabre!

Asylum For The Insane Opens In Newark

• Admission is free to this annual neighborhood haunt, but donations are welcomed and go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, as well as maintaining the haunt.

Candle Lighter's Ghost House - For All Ages: Fremont

• For those who prefer "scary-not-so-scary," this one is for you. Closing night is Monday, Oct. 30 - 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
