The AAUW Stock & Investing Group is hosting a talk by David Greiner of Beckman Investment Securities on Friday, February 17, from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Livermore Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Ave., conference room B. The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Greiner has been a securities broker since 1970 with Beckman. He has been active in the community and a member of the Board of Valley Care Charitable Foundation since 1986. Greiner also taught evening classes for the Livermore School District from 1974-2010.
The Stock Group meets the thrd Friday of the month at noon at the Livermore Library. Its members study the stock market. Thre is no money invested as a group; however, there is a stock "watch list" they follow every month. Recent topics of discussion have been price-earnings vs. price-earnings-growth ratios and their uses, dividend stocks, and indexed funds.
