The public is invited to presentations coming up throughout the year at the Alameda County Master Gardener Demonstration Garden in Livermore: Feb. 11 - Garden Books You Can't Live Without, March 10 - Planting Drought Resistant Containers, April 14 -Spring in the Garden, May 5 - Outsmarting Pests in Your Summer Garden: IPM, June 9 - Irrigation in Summer Heat, July 14 - Keeping the Gardener Healthy, Aug. 11 - Bouquets of Summer, Sept. 8 - Selecting Shade Trees, Oct. 13 - Cleaning Up Your Garden, Nov. 10 - Garden Gadget Must-Haves. Our Earth Friendly Demonstration Garden Features drought tolerant plants. Its purpose is to provide an educational experience featuring "Water Wise" plants as an alternative to the traditional home landscape. The Demonstration Garden is located at 3575 Greenville Road next to the Martinelli Event Center in Livermore Valley wine country.
