Altamont Pass Fire Prompts Sig Alert
The fire was confirmed around 3 p.m. Wednesday and quickly contained at three acres, according to Alameda County Fire.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Firefighters moved swiftly to battle a three-acre grass fire Wednesday afternoon near the Altamont Pass.
Alameda County Fire confirmed the fire around 3 p.m. and reported the blaze was in the area of I-580, east of Grant Line Road and Midway Road. Crews had stopped the fire's growth by 3:30 p.m. and contained it at three acres.
The California Highway Patrol, Dublin Office issued a Sig alert. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
