Livermore Warehouse Fire Causes $100K In Damages
Fire crews had to call in additional resources to help knock down the blaze.

LIVERMORE, CA — A warehouse fire in Livermore caused more than $100,000 worth of damage Friday morning, fire officials said. The blaze was reported in the 6600 block of Las Positas Road in Livermore just before 10 a.m. Livermore-Pleasanton Fire crews responded and called for additional resources.
The roughly 180,000 square-foot, one-story warehouse appears to be a place where mattresses are stored, Deputy Chief of Operations Joe Testa said. The fire started in one of the warehouse storage areas and was contained to one small section of the warehouse.
Testa said the fire was deep-seated because it got into the mattresses. But, he said, sprinklers in the building helped contain the blaze. Fire officials said there were no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
