Fireworks Hike Returns to Sycamore Grove Park in Livermore

Park officials say hikers will enjoy stargazing and will see fireworks across the valley.

Livermore, CA— Those who want to get a unique view of the Fourth of July fireworks in the Tri-Valley can take a hike in Livermore. The Livermore Area Recreation and Parks District is hosting the second annual fireworks hike at 8 p.m. on 4th of July.

"The hike was so successful we decided to bring it back," park spokesperson Lea Blevins told Patch.

Ranger Amy Wolitzer will lead the four-mile hike at Sycamore Grove Park, which is located 1051 Wetmore Rd. in Livermore. Hikers will need to pay a $7 parking fee and Blevins suggest bring a blanket and a warm jacket.

Many other fun activities are being held in the Tri-Valley on Fourth of July. Runners can participate in the popular Run San Ramon Run leaving from the San Ramon Central Park Community Center at 8 a.m. Race organizers say the run will benefit the City of San Ramon’s community programs.

Danville is hosting its annual Fourth of July parade and the Alameda County Fair will have 4th of July fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
