Former Lab Official Named College Vice Provost

Dr. Mo Dehghani was the Division Leader for the New Technologies Engineering Division of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Dr. Mo Dehghani has been hired as Vice Provost of Research by Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. He’ll begin his new position Aug. 1.

Here in Livermore, Dr. Dehghani was the Division Leader for the New Technologies Engineering Division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He worked at the Lab from 1996 – 2007.

At Stevens Institute he will lead the developmentof the university’s research programs.

“Stevens Institute of Technology is an incredible university with a distinguished history in engineering, engineering research and innovation,” said Dehghani. “I am excited to expand upon that history as our vision, strategy and plans have broadened to grow the research enterprise in alignment with the university's strategic plan."

Dr. Dehghani is currently the senior executive in charge of the engineering, design, analysis, and fabrication division of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
