Fundamentals of Fly Fishing Class

TVFF is offering a basic Fly Fishing Fundamentals class this October.

The class consists of 3 evening classroom sessions and 2 casting lessons.

The classroom lessons will be held October 7, 14, and 21 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Livermore-Pleasanton Rod and Gun Club and will consist of the following topics.

Introduction to fly fishing and equipment.

Knots you need to know.

Rigging a fly rod.

Basic aquatic entomology.

Reading the Water, streams and stillwater (lakes).

Safety and etiquette.

There are also two casting lessons that will be held at the McCrea Park Casting Facility in Oakland. All equipment will be provided.

Cost of the lessons is $80.00 which includes club membership dues through 2016.

Space is limited to the first 12 participants.
