Granada High School Alumni & Faculty Are Welcome Back For Homecoming Barbecue October 3rd, 2014

For Immediate Release, September 19, 2014--

The Granada Supporters and Granada High School invite all Matador alumni, current and former teachers, along with friends and family back to campus on Friday, October 3rd for the 10th Annual GHS Alumni Barbecue. Beginning at 5:00pm the celebration will take place at the Southwest entrance to the Curt Lehew Football Stadium, now known as Alumni Plaza. Former Granada graduates are encouraged to bring a side dish for 6-8 people if possible and enjoy complimentary a hot dog or hot link, water and soft drinks. There will be 50th Anniversary Books on hand for sale as well as fan wear. Commemorative bricks can be purchased as well. Following the barbecue alumni and faculty can attend the varsity football game where Granada plays California High. The GHS Marching Band, as well as the Dance & Cheer Team will perform. Undergraduate Homecoming competition winners will be announced culminating in the 2014 Homecoming Queen being crowned at halftime.

With over 500 alumni and faculty members attending last year, co-founders Steve Goodman and Jan Freytag are expecting an excellent turn out after a successful year-long celebration of Granada High School’s 50th Birthday. Help is requested for those interested in setting-up and/or cleaning-up.
