Heads Up: Speed Crackdown Underway Today On Hwy 84

LIVERMORE, CA – The Livermore Police Department, along with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, is conducting increased speed enforcement today along Highway 84/Isabel Avenue, according to officials.

"The speed limit on most of SR-84 is 50 MPH," the department said,"but please remember that a large portion of this roadway is still under construction, which may cause additional dangers such as hazards and distractions."

The Livermore agency said speed accounted for more than a quarter of all traffic fatalities last year. "We all know the frustrations of modern life and juggling a busy schedule, but speed limits are put in place to protect all road users," police said.
