AlCo Fire Training Wraps In Tri-Valley: See Photos & Videos

The recruit exercise was held Wednesday in an unincorporated area of Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA – The Alameda County Fire Department's recruit training exercise, held Wednesday on the 3200 block of Marina Avenue in unincorporated Livermore, concluded, but steam and residual smoke was expected to be visible in the Tri-Valley for several hours, according to officials.

Crews were to be on location to monitor the training site, the department said. Residents were warned earlier in the day to not be alarmed as the state-mandated training would be underway until approximately 4 p.m. and smoke would be visible.

The state-mandated training will be underway until approximately 4 p.m. on the 3200 block of Marina Avenue in Livermore, the department said.

While smoke may be visible throughout the day, officials advised residents who see smoke, but are unsure if it is coming from the training, to call 911.
