HOLIDAY BELL-RINGERS NEEDED

PAID POSITIONS

Paid, seasonal work is available for individuals as Red Kettle bell-ringers. All you need is a smile and enthusiasm at a retail location in Alameda County. The friendlier and more outgoing you are, the greater the public support for the Christmas Red Kettle, enabling The Salvation Army to help more Alameda County residents. Brighten the Holidays for people in need by becoming a paid bell-ringer. The funds you raise are a lifeline for those who need food and other basic assistance.

This position pays $9.00 per hour. Part-time and full-time schedules are available.

Job requirements:

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time; up to 8 hours

• Must be able to stay outside for prolonged periods of time

• Must be able to handle any type of weather, including wind, rain, cold and snow

• Friendly smile

• Positive, upbeat attitude

• Courteous and polite personality

The Salvation Army, one of the world’s largest social service organizations, has used its iconic Red Kettle to raise funds for its work with people in need since 1891. Red Kettle donations account for nearly 25 percent of The Salvation Army’s annual budget in Alameda County. Christmas just isn’t the same without The Salvation Army’s ubiquitous Red Kettle and bell-ringers!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Volunteer positions are available for individuals, families, church groups, service organizations, Boy Scouts, community outreach groups, companies that prefer to donate their time as bell-ringers during the Holiday Season.
