Holiday Crackdown, DUI Checkpoint Announced: Livermore Police
To kick off the effort, the LPD will conduct a DUI/driver's license checkpoint Friday, Dec. 13 at an undisclosed location in Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Police Department announced that starting this weekend, it will have more officers on patrol looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The enforcement ramp-up will run through the holiday season, Dec. 13 through New Year's Day, according to Livermore police.
To kick off the effort, the LPD will conduct a DUI/driver's license checkpoint Friday, Dec. 13 at an undisclosed location in Livermore. According to Livermore traffic Sgt. Glen Robbins, the operation will be up and running by 8 p.m. and will conclude at 1 a.m. Saturday.
“Unfortunately, this time of year is when we see more people driving impaired,” Robbins said. “There is no excuse for driving after drinking or using drugs that impair. There are many ways to get home safely without driving.”
