'Holiday Lawn Art' Returns to Livermore Schools

Have you seen the festive designs in the grass at your school?

Students and staff at schools in Livermore are enjoying the return of the popular “holiday lawn art” designs created by a trio of groundskeepers.

“We have three members of our Grounds Department, Ryan Sanchez, Jesse Lopez and Jonathan Newkirk, who design and create ‘lawn art’ at Halloween, winter holiday season, and Valentine’s Day,” Superintendent Kelly Bowers said. “It is their way of contributing their talents, skills and creativity to boost school spirit and strengthen the connection with our community during the various holiday seasonal celebrations.”

According to Bowers, the three have been doing this type of whimsical lawn art for the past several years. The Halloween designs shown can currently be found Livermore High School and Leo Croce Elementary.
