Lanes Reopen on Highway 84, Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI
The crash happened just before 6 p.m., according to CHP officials.

Both lanes of state Highway 84 in Alameda County have reopened this evening and one driver has been arrested following a two-vehicle collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said officers responded to a report of a red vehicle colliding with a silver Honda van two miles east of Interstate Highway 680 just before 6 p.m. Cistaro said the two vehicles sustained front-end damage and occupants suffered minor injuries.

A Sig-alert was issued at 6:12 p.m. and cancelled an hour later, he said. Officers arrested one of the drivers on suspicion of felony DUI charges, he said.
Witnesses reported seeing the vehicles collide head-on, but Cistaro said officers are still investigating the incident.
