Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Accepts Funds for Ida Holm Park

The $30,000 will be earmarked for capital improvement funding, according to park officials.

At a regular meeting Wednesday night, the Board of Directors for the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District accepted funds for future use at Ida Holm Park.

As part of the conditions of approval from the City of Livermore for a proposed amendment to an approved project along Isabel Avenue, Ponderosa Homes was asked to contribute $30,000 to LARPD to be used for Ida Holm Park. The park, opened in 1975, is located 420 feet north of the project site at 1106 Crystal Circle.

The $30,000 will be earmarked for capital improvement funding, to be combined in the future with other funding for larger improvements. As per the development agreement, funding may be used for picnic tables, barbecue, playground upgrades, baseball backstop upgrades, drinking fountain upgrades and other appropriate amenities.
