Livermore Celebrates Kindness And Inclusion Through Unity Week

The city is asking its residents to wear orange and take the Unity Pledge to support people who have been bullied and excluded.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore is honoring kindness, inclusion and acceptance by celebrating Unity Week from Oct. 17-21.

City members are asked to take the Unity Day Pledge to “support others who have been hurt or harmed, treat others with kindness, be more accepting of people’s differences, and help include those who are left out.”

The city is celebrating Unity Week with a number of events until Thursday. On Tuesday, people can pick up a Unity Day bracelet and take a walk in Sycamore Grove Park with Livermore police officers.

On Wednesday, Unity Day, participants are asked to wear orange in support of the pledge, and share photos online using the hashtag #LivermoreUnityDay2022 and #WeAreLivermore, or by emailing photos to communityengagement@lvjusd.org. The Rincon Library will also host a cardmaking session from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, visit the Livermore Civic Center Library to make a unique link for the Livermore Unity Chain, which will be displayed at the Civic Center Library.
