Livermore Cops Will Serve Meals To Raise Money For Special Olympics

LIVERMORE, CA — If you’ve ever been curious what it’s like to be waited on by police officers, you’re in luck. On Thursday, the Livermore Police Department is hosting a “Tip-A-Cop” event at Strizzi’s Restaurant. Officers will serve meals, and all of the tips they receive will be donated to the Special Olympics of Northern California.

The money will be used to provide local Special Olympics athletes with free year-round sports training opportunities.

Last August, the department hosted a similar fundraiser at Zephyr Grill & Bar to raise money for athletes to compete in the Special Olympics in Orlando in January.

Thursday’s event will take place from 5-8 p.m. at Strizzi’s Restaurant at 2205 First Street in Livermore.
