Livermore Launches All-Ages Geocaching Scavenger Hunt

LIVERMORE, CA — The city of Livermore has created an all-ages scavenger hunt, with clues hidden throughout the city.

Think you can find them all? You've got until Jan. 5 to solve the puzzle and be entered into a raffle drawing for prizes.

As part of the geocaching adventure, the city will give participants GPS coordinates and a clue to help them find the hidden cache, which contains another clue and set of coordinates. Use your smart phone camera to scan the QR code at each cache to advance to your next clue.

The clues could lead adventurers to places such as roads, buildings, traffic signals or other city-owned assets managed by the public works department.

Not so sure of your investigative abilities? The city has created L'more the basset hound to be your guide.

The city estimates it takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the adventure. There's no need to complete it all at once.

When you've solved all five clues, upload your gamecard. Post a photo of you or your adventure crew on social media and tag @cityoflivermore for a chance to enter the photo raffle. Facebook and Instagram story posts do not count.
