Livermore Nonprofit Offering CalFresh Help, Free Family Supplies Next Week
Hively is offering 3 days of bilingual CalFresh help. On Monday, they will provide free diapers, clothing and books in Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore nonprofit Hively is hosting three days of assistance obtaining benefits for Calfresh, which provides financial assistance for food for low-income California residents.
From Monday through Wednesday from 1-4 p.m., bilingual staff will be available at Hively on 164 N. L Street in Livermore to help the community with applications. All attendees will be entered to win a grocery basket valued at $75.
On Monday, the Hive on Wheels, Hively's mobile family resource center, will offer diapers, wipes, children's clothing, and books. Hively staff will also explain the services of Hively, a social services agency that helps low-income families obtain affordable child care, classes, training, health insurance, mental health services, and more.

“Families are struggling more than ever,” said Hively CEO Mary Hekl. “Hively’s mission is to provide as many services directly to them as possible. Groceries are expensive, and the opportunity to deliver CalFresh benefits provides important relief. Livermore in particular is part of our home, and we’re proud to be part of an event that is vital to the fabric of the community.”
