Officers issued 12 citations during the pedestrian safety enforcement Wednesday.
LIVERMORE, CA — Police in Livermore issued 12 citations during a pedestrian safety operation conducted in the area of East Avenue at Estates Street on Wednesday.
Officers made about 15 traffic stops between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. while watching for drivers who violated pedestrians’ right-of-way.
“This enforcement effort was conducted in response to complaints from the community,” police officials said via Facebook. “Hopefully these types of enforcement efforts remind drivers to be observant of pedestrians and yield the right of way when pedestrians are crossing the roadway.”
