Livermore Plane Crash Victim Identified
The plane crashed Monday night shortly after take-off.

The Coroner’s Bureau of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office has identified the pilot killed in Monday night’s plane crash as Michael Seal, 75, of Pleasanton.
Seal was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow to determine the exact cause of death.
Federal investigators were at the scene of the crash today, combing through wreckage for clues to the cause of the crash. Control tower tapes released today reveal that the pilot radioed the tower shortly after take-off to report a problem.

The Piper PA22 crashed at about 9 p.m. after leaving Livermore Municipal Airport.
The crash caused a two acre brush fire that was quickly extinguished.
