Livermore Police Arrest Convicted Felon With Loaded Gun, Taser

Police say the 37-year-old suspect also had a suspended driver's license.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested a 37-year-old man from Modesto they say was a convicted felon on parole carrying a loaded firearm.

On Saturday at around 3 a.m., police stopped a white GMC Envoy for speeding near First and Scott streets, according to a department social media post. Officers found that the driver, 37-year-old David Hutchinson of Modesto, was a convicted felon on searchable probation who also had a suspended license.

Officers say they found a loaded handgun and Axon Taser Pulse inside Hutchinson's car. He was arrested on several charges, including being a felon in possession of a handgun, and booked in Santa Rita Jail.
