Livermore Police Arrest Driver With Loaded Handgun, 3 Kilos Of Cocaine

The driver was also found to be driving on a license suspended due to a DUI.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested a driver found to possess a loaded handgun and three kilograms of cocaine, the department said on social media.

On June 30 just after 5:30 p.m., Livermore officers near the First Street off ramp saw a car traveling 90 mph in a 65-mph zone. The driver was also talking on his cell phone.

Officers stopped the driver and found that his license had been suspended for a DUI. They then discovered a loaded Glock handgun, $2000 in cash, and three kilograms of cocaine in his car.

The driver, a 27-year-old from Oakland, was placed under arrest for several charges, including driving on a suspended license, possession and carrying a loaded firearm, and drug possession and sales. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
