LIVERMORE, CA —The Livermore Police Department currently is seeking applicants for trainee officers and dispatchers.

Officer-trainee positions pay $33.86 per hour while enrolled in the police academy, with a $8,650 monthly base pay, including holiday pay, plus benefits, following graduation and swearing-in, according to the agency.

Entry-level, public-safety dispatcher pay ranges from $6,135 to $7,457 per month. Dispatchers handle 911 emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinate calls with police and fire crews and provide support services and record maintenance.
No experience is required, however, ideal candidates for the roles should be skilled in communication, able to make sound decisions during emergencies and possess the desire to aid and protect the community, along with having high ethical and professional standards.
