Livermore Police Make 2 Separate Meth-Related Arrests
Two suspects were accused of possessing meth in Livermore. One suspect was accused of carrying a loaded, unregistered pistol.
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police made two drug-related arrests earlier this week.
First, police arrested a man accused of possessing two ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of Fentanyl, and 60 Xanax pills. A Livermore officer patrolling a parking lot on Vasco Road located a vehicle reportedly on felony probation. The officer saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle “in plain view,” according to a report from the Livermore Police Department.
38-year-old Mark Sarkes of Modesto was arrested and charged with possession and sale of illegal narcotics. He was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

The following day, Livermore officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle they said had several violations. The LPD said that the driver, 51-year-old Rene Reyes of Hayward, did not have a driver’s license. Police said Reyes also had several prior arrests for firearm possession.
Police said they located 1.58 grams of methamphetamine on his person, and 3.1 more grams of methamphetamine inside his car. Officers also say they found a loaded, unregistered pistol in his car.

Reyes was charged with several gun and drug violations.
