Livermore Police Seek Oakland Man Suspected in Fatal Shooting

Following a fatal shooting in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy Saturday night, Livermore Police Department’s detectives have identified 18-year-old Jason Alexander Brown of Oakland as a suspect in the shooting.
“Detectives have obtained a no-bail warrant for Jason Brown’s arrest for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder,” police said in a statement.
Detectives searched Brown’s Oakland residence at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

“Brown was not at home at the time of the search warrant and was not apprehended,” police said.
Police say Brown was armed with a long black gun, according to police. Officers do not have a description of the other suspect believed to be involved in the shooting, police said.

One man in his 20s died and another man in his 20s was injured when someone shot at the pair in a Livermore parking lot. Police received multiple 911 calls at 6:05 p.m. regarding the shooting in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy store at 1500 First St., according to police.
Upon arrival, officers found two people inside a parked car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger, who is in his 20s, was taken to a hospital, according to police. Police are withholding the identity of the deceased man, pending notification of his next of kin.
Detectives have confirmed that neither of the victims are Livermore residents, police said. Officers said two male suspects were seen driving a black 2006 BMW 325i with two red racing stripes on the hood with the license plate number 5PLR682, according to police.
The suspects were seen driving out of the parking lot onto Railroad Avenue and California Highway Patrol officers last saw the vehicle in Oakland, police said.
