Shocking & Inspiring Jonathan Franzen film about migratory songbirds - June 11th - 7 PM - IBEW Hall - 6250 Village Pkwy, Dublin

On Saturday, June 11th at the IBEW Hall, 6250 Village Parkway, the 78 minute film, “Emptying the Skies,” will be shown at 7 PM. This film is based upon an essay appearing in the New Yorker magazine by bestselling author and birdwatcher Jonathan Franzen. It’s shocking and inspiring, as it shows us the beauty and strength of having a commitment to an ideal, no matter how quixotic. Bird lovers & everyone interested in the plight of songbirds are invited. This film event begins with a 6:30 PM potluck, for those interested, while a short discussion follows the film. This event is free; although, a $3.00 donation is appreciated. The hall is wheelchair accessible. For more information, call 925-462-3459 or email flickknight@gmail.com. Go for it!
