Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District will hold an information night on July 10th.

LIVERMORE, CA - From Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District: The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) has announced it will hold a Board Candidate Information Night for those interested in running for one of three vacant seats on its Board of Education, the policy-making body of the LVJUSD. On Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 6:30 pm, interested community members are invited to attend, listen, and ask questions during the informal workshop session held in the LVJUSD Board Room at 685 E. Additional topics will include a meetings calendar, timelines for candidates, conflict of interest and campaign reporting requirements, City regulations regarding campaign signs, and the California Fair Political Practices Commission rules. All filing documents may be obtained at the Alameda County Office of the Registrar of Voters beginning July 16, 2018 and must be completed by August 10, 2018, which is the official Candidate Nomination Period.
The five trustees of the LVJUSD Board of Education serve staggered four-year terms. The three open seats this year will be decided on November 6, 2018. Currently, the seats are held by Board President Craig Bueno, Trustee Kate Runyon, and Trustee Anne White.
