Man Accused In Livermore Standoff, Home Invasion Robbery ID’d
Police said the 25-year-old man was arrested in his home, which is less than a mile away from the crime scene.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore man who is in jail after he allegedly held police at bay for several hours following a home invasion robbery has been identified as Jared Moynahan. Moynahan, 25, was arrested hours after he allegedly committed a home invasion robbery inside a home located less than a mile from his residence.
Police said the robbery occurred in the 1500 block of Wagoner Drive before 11 a.m. The suspect was gone when officers arrived. Police asked residents to avoid the area of Wagoner Drive and Coronado Way while the SWAT team and crisis negotiators worked toward a "peaceful resolution" with Moynahan, who was believed to be hiding a short distance away in his home in the 900 block of Coronado Way. Police evacuated residents from the homes nearby.
The standoff lasted several hours and police said they tried to use negotiations tactics and chemical weapons to force Moynahan to leave the building. Eventually, SWAT team officers and a police canine went into the home and arrested Moynahan in his residence.
