Man Who Allegedly Threatened Livermore Police With Gun Arrested
Police said Alan Huntting, 56, fired his gun several times after threatening to point the weapon at officers.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore man was arrested Friday night after threatening officers during an armed confrontation, police said. Officers were sent to a home in the 1500 block of College Avenue to investigate a family disturbance after the suspect’s mother told police that her son was going to get a gun and point it at police officers.
Officers who responded to the home tried to talk to the suspect, later identified as 56-year-old Alan Huntting, but he retreated to his trailer after allegedly threatening to get a gun. Police said Huntting fired several rounds before going into the backyard.
"Huntting refused to comply with commands and was confrontational with officers," police said in a statement.
