One Injured During Propane Tank Fire In Livermore
BREAKING: The blaze spread to the home's pergola.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters quickly knocked down a propane tank fire in a Livermore backyard Sunday night, fire officials said. The blaze, which started in a standalone fire pit and spread to the home’s pergola, was reported in the 700 block of Alexander Street just before 8:30 p.m.
Fire officials said the resident suffered a burn to the face while trying to turn the propane tank off. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the outside of the house.
“It should be noted that you should not attempt to turn off a propane tank when it is involved in fire,” fire officials told Patch. “Propane tanks can become projectiles and can hurt you when on fire. You should stand away from the tank and wait for the fire department to arrive.”
